Parallax is a visual effect where the background moves at a different speed or direction than the foreground content.
It creates a sense of depth and motion as users scroll or move their cursor.
In Impressive Interactive Section, parallax can be applied to:
- Image backgrounds
- 2D backgrounds
❗ Parallax is not available for No Background (None) or 3D Backgrounds.
How to Enable Parallax
- In the Scene tab, choose either Image or 2D as your background type.
- Scroll down to the Parallax Settings section.
- Choose your desired parallax effect
Available Parallax Effects
| Effect | Description |
|---|---|
| None | Static background. No movement. Ideal for simplicity. |
| Classic Parallax | Background scrolls slower than the foreground, creating depth. |
| Mouse Parallax | Background moves in response to mouse movement for an interactive feel. |
| Fade-in | Background fades in as the user scrolls down. |
| Pan Right | Background slides from right to left while scrolling. |
| Pan Left | Background slides from left to right while scrolling. |
| Zoom In | Background gradually zooms in as the user scrolls. |
| Zoom Out | Background gradually zooms out as the user scrolls. |
Parallax Sensitivity Settings
Each effect has unique sensitivity settings that control how strongly the background reacts:
- Classic Parallax: Controls how quickly the image catches up after scrolling.
- Mouse Parallax: Controls how far the background shifts based on mouse movement.
- Pan Right / Pan Left: Adjusts the horizontal scrolling speed.
- Zoom In / Zoom Out: Controls zoom intensity during scroll. No sensitivity adjustment needed.
- Fade-in: Uses fixed timing; no sensitivity adjustment needed.
Higher sensitivity = stronger/faster movement.
Lower = smoother/subtle motion.
