The Image background type allows you to upload and display a static image behind your entire interactive section.
This background is applied globally — all slides will share the same image.
If you want to use your own visuals or create a branded look across slides, this is the go-to option.
How to Set an Image Background
- Go to the Scene tab.
- Under Background Type, select Image.
- Click Change to:
- Upload your own image, or
- Select one from the Wix Media Library.
- (Optional) Click Crop to:
- Open the cropping window
- Adjust the image scale and position
Once selected, the image appears behind the entire section.
Disable Right Click
Use this feature to prevent downloads of your image.
Parallax Effects
Image backgrounds support parallax effects to create visual movement while scrolling or interacting.
You can choose from 8 available effects:
- None
- Classic Parallax
- Mouse Parallax
- Fade-in
- Pan Right
- Pan Left
- Zoom In
- Zoom Out
Each effect offers its own motion behavior. See Parallax Effects Guide for details and settings.
Limitations
- Applies to the entire section, not individual slides.
